This report is particularly useful to spotting points of mastery and identifying where students may need more practice. π Access the Dimensions Report
The Dimensions Report helps you visualize NGSS data by breaking it down across the three dimensions: Disciplinary Core Ideas (DCIs), Science and Engineering Practices (SEPs), and Crosscutting Concepts (CCCs).
How to Access the Dimensions Report:
Navigate to the "Reports" tab
Select the "Dimensions" tab

1. Shareable Data
Collaborate with Your Crew: Share your data to identify common patterns.
Click βGet Shareable Linkβ and send it to collaborators.
2. Usage Overview
InnerOrbit Usage Data: View how many assessments your students have completed and celebrate your data collection efforts! π
3. Dimensions Breakdown
Identify Mastery and Misconceptions: See what students have mastered and where they need more practice.
Drill Down by Element: Click on a concept to expand it and explore specific grade bands and elements to take your analysis further.
Understand the Data:
The percentage shown reflects overall accuracy across all questions, students, and assessments for that dimension.
Example: β65% of all questions assessing the PS4 Disciplinary Core Idea (Waves and their Application) have been answered correctly.β
4. Dimensions Report Filtering Options
Customize your data view with the Left Sidebar Filters:
Select Specific Assessments: Focus on benchmarks, exit slips, or practice tests.
Compare Results: Analyze trends such as Pre- vs. Post-Assessments.
Set a Date Range: Narrow data by selecting a specific timeframe.
Color Code Proficiency:
Use color coding to easily analyze proficiency levels.
"Double-click" on the score to set your desired percentage for each proficiency level.
View by Group: Filter data by school, roster, or student.
Show All Standards: Identify NGSS elements that have not yet been assessed.
