The Assignment Report provides detailed insights into student performance at both the individual and class levels. This report helps educators analyze assessment data, track student progress, and make data-driven instructional decisions.

The Assignment Report provides granular insights into student performance, allowing you to:

  • Analyze student performance on individual questions

  • Identify trends across rosters

  • Unpack responses to detect possible misconceptions

  • Pinpoint WHO needs help with WHAT

This report helps identify student strengths and areas for improvement, ensuring you have the data needed to guide instruction effectively.


🧭 How to Access the Assignment Report

  1. Navigate to the "Reports" tab

  2. Select the "Assignments" subtab

  3. Select "View the Full Report"

    • This will open a detailed view of student performance for the assessment.


Key Features in the Assignment Report

1. Toggle Between Class Periods

  • View assessment performance by class period for comparison.

2. Customize Cut Scores

  • The cut scores for each assessment can be adjusted to match your assessment goals.

  • ⚠️ Cut scores should align with the assessment design, as different types of assessments vary in rigor. The grading scale should reflect the purpose and structure of the assessment.

  1. Click inside the cut score box.

  2. Input the desired value.

  3. Press "Enter" to apply your changes.

The Answers by Question Matrix is a powerful feature that allows you to:

  • Analyze student performance at the individual, class, and question levels.

  • Identify trends and determine which dimensions students struggled with.

  • Use data to inform instructional next steps.

  • Hover over each question to see which questions posed the greatest challenge.

  • Look for patterns in student responses to pinpoint misconceptions.

📩 Download Detailed Reports

For deeper analysis, export student performance data from the Assignment Report into a CSV file. These reports allow for further data manipulation, trend analysis, and integration into other data systems.

📂 Download Answers Report

  • CSV file containing individual student answer data for the assessment.

📂 Download Student Standards Report

  • CSV file organizing assessment data by NGSS dimension (DCIs, SEPs, CCCs).

  • CSV file mapping each question to its corresponding NGSS standard for a standards-based breakdown.

5. "No Data" in Answer Grid?

  • If you see "No Data," it means a question was added after students had already completed the assessment. These questions won’t display results in the report.
