In this article, we'll explain how to assign an assessment to a single student or to a small group of students.

If you don't have student rosters uploaded on InnerOrbit, please read these articles to get your rosters setup first.

1. Go to your "Library" tab.

2. Click on the assessment you want to assign.

3. In your pink assigning window on the right, select the roster the student(s) are in. A green check mark will appear next to it.

4. Then, you'll see a green unlocked icon under the roster name. Click that and...

5. A popup will appear for all of the students in the roster. Click on the blue "Lock this Assignment Button" or click on the individual student locks to either:

  1. Lock the assessment for EVERYONE and unlock it for a few

  2. Keep the assessment unlocked and lock it for a FEW

If an assessment is locked for a student, they will see it on their InnerOrbit dashboard, but will be unable to click on the assessment.
