You can assign another teacher’s InnerOrbit assessment or a school/district common assessment as-is, without making changes. When customization is needed, making a copy allows you to adjust questions, answer choices, assessment length, or accommodations.

How to Copy An Assessment
1. Find the assessment in your "Library (see Find and Assign a Common or Colleague's Assessment for guidance).
2. Click the vertical three dots (⋮) in the top right corner of the assessment.
3. Select "Make a Copy to Modify."
3. Enter a new title for your copy and click the green "Create Copy" button. Rename your assessment clearly to avoid confusion later — for example: "23-24 4th Grade Unit 1 CFA – Modified."
4. Refresh the page — your new copy will appear under "Created by You" in your Library.
Your Data After Copying
When copying a common assessment, a new assessment ID is created. This affects how your admin views cumulative reports:
Assigning the original — your results are grouped with your team's data in your admin's cumulative reports.
When assigning a common assessment, other teachers will not be able to view your data. Only administrators can view assessment data across teachers.
Making a copy — your results will appear separately in your admin's cumulative reports.
Check with your admin before making a copy.
