In this article, we'll explore a feature to support "blind grading": the hide student names feature!

Use this feature as you score open-ended questions on InnerOrbit to reduce grading bias.

To Hide Student Names:

Step 1: Navigate to the Grading section of the website.

Step 2: Click View Questions to Grade on the assignment you plan to grade.

Step 3: Click Grade Now.

Step 4: Click Review in the top right corner.

Step 5: Select Hide Student Names in the top left corner. (You can also toggle back to showing student names by selecting Show Student Names.)

Step 6: Exit to go back to grading. Your student names will be replaced with fictitious names, so you can score student work "blindly".

To show student names again, either repeat the same steps listed above, or leave the Grading tab and the names will reset.
