What does this message mean?

If you see the message “Access blocked: Your institution’s admin needs to review InnerOrbit when signing in with Google, it means your school or district’s Google Workspace for Education administrator needs to approve InnerOrbit as a third-party app.

This is a Google security setting and not an issue with your InnerOrbit account.

Why am I seeing this message?

This typically happens when:

  • Your district restricts access to third-party apps by default

  • InnerOrbit has not yet been approved in your district’s Google Workspace Admin Console

Until InnerOrbit is approved, Google will block access for users at your school or district.

What do I need to do?

You’ll need to contact your school or district IT administrator and ask them to approve InnerOrbit in Google Workspace.

After InnerOrbit is approved

Once your IT administrator approves InnerOrbit:

  • Return to InnerOrbit and sign in again using Google

You should be able to access your account without seeing the error message.
