How Do I Pilot InnerOrbit in My Classroom, School, or District?

A quick guide to the three ways you can try InnerOrbit before committing — and what to expect after you sign up.

Written by Giulia Mota

What Is an InnerOrbit Pilot?

A pilot is a trial period that lets you use InnerOrbit with real students before deciding whether to purchase. There's no single "pilot" experience — the right fit depends on how many teachers and students will be using InnerOrbit and whether you need student rosters connected. We call these three paths classroom, school, and district.

You don't need to know which path is right for you before you start — when you request a pilot, we'll ask a couple of quick questions and route you automatically.

Choosing Your Pilot Path

Best For

👩‍🏫 Classroom Pilot

A single teacher (or a small handful of teachers) who want to try InnerOrbit on their own, without needing school-wide rostering set up.

🏫 School Pilot

Multiple teachers across a school, or a school leader exploring InnerOrbit for wider adoption.

🏢 District Pilot

District leaders evaluating InnerOrbit for multiple schools.

👩‍🏫 Classroom Pilot

  • Sign up and get immediate access — no meeting required.

  • You'll get a short series of onboarding emails to help you get the most out of your trial.

  • If you decide InnerOrbit is a good fit, you can let us know and upgrade to a paid plan at any time.

🏫 School Pilot

When you sign up for a school pilot, we'll ask whether you want your students' information rostered (connected automatically from your student information system) as part of the trial.

  • If you want rostering: Your request goes straight to our partnerships team, who will reach out to set up rostering and walk through school-wide implementation. We'll need to connect with your Tech department to ensure we're set with privacy agreements and import the rosters once we're good to go!

  • If you don't need rostering yet: You'll first have a brief 15-minute exploratory call with our team to understand your goals. From there, we'll either get you set up directly or connect you with our partnerships team if a deeper rollout makes sense.

🏢 District Pilot

  • District pilots go directly to our partnerships team, who will schedule time with you to scope rostering, timeline, and implementation across your schools.

  • This path is designed for a full, supported rollout rather than a single-classroom trial.

How to Get Started

  1. Fill out our short pilot interest form.

  2. Tell us which path fits best — classroom, school, or district — and give us a rough estimate of how many students will be involved.

  3. If you're setting up a school or district pilot, let us know whether you'll need rostering.

What Happens After You Sign Up

  • Classroom pilots get access right away and a short onboarding email series. If you haven't created a full account within a few weeks, we'll check in to see if you have questions or need support getting started.

  • School and district pilots are paired with a member of our partnerships team, who will stay in touch throughout your trial to help with setup, rostering, and any questions your teachers have.

No matter which path you choose, our team is here to help make sure your pilot is a good test of whether InnerOrbit is right for your students.
