How can I create my own questions with InnerOrbit's phenomena?

Add teacher-made questions to your assessment. This article will show you the tips in creating and editing different question types.

Before diving into creating your own questions around InnerOrbit's phenomena, don't forget that you can modify InnerOrbit questions!

How can I create my own question?

First, find a phenomenon on InnerOrbit that you like and click on the phenomenon tile.
*If the assessment is built, simply go to edit mode and search for the specific phenomena.

You'll find the "Create Question" button on the top right corner of the phenomenon window. When you click the button, a window will appear to the right of the phenomenon!

In the sections below, we list out the steps & tips in creating and editing the 3 different question types:

1. Free Response

2. Multiple Choice
3. Matching (Drag & Drop)


1. Free Response

Type your question in the grey question box (highlighted red box in screenshot below) and click "add to quiz" (red arrow).


2. Multiple Choice

Step I. Make sure to switch to the "Multiple Choice" tab (red arrow in screenshot below), and type your question in the top grey box (highlighted red box in screenshot below).

Step II. Click "Add Answer" to type in your answer choices.

  • Press "↵ Enter" key to add each answer choice.

  • Press "←Backspace" or "Delete" to remove an answer.

Step III. Click on the check mark next to one answer choice to select the correct answer. Then click the green "Add to Quiz" button.


3. Matching (Drag & Drop)

Step I. Switch to the "Matching" tab (highlighted red box in screenshot below), and type your question* in the top grey box (red arrow in screenshot below).

*Type 3 connected underscores (___) and it will turn into a drag and drop box.

Step II. Click "Add Answer" to type in your answer choices.

  • Press "↵ Enter" key to add each answer choice.

  • Press "←Backspace" or "Delete" to remove the answer.

Step III. Set the answers by dragging the correct answer choice to the box until it turns blue.

Step IV. Click the green "Add to Quiz" button.


If you would like to have your own phenomena or include standard tags, uploading your phenomena would be the best method.
