👀 What Does Text-to-Speech on InnerOrbit Look Like?
Students can have the text in assessments read aloud to them (excluding text within figures and images). They simply click the “Listen” or “Play” button for the phenomenon and questions.
🗣️ How to Enable Text-to-Speech
For a Specific Student:
Navigate to the “Rosters” tab.
Click the “Show All Students” button in your roster.
Locate the student you would like to enable text-to-speech for.
Under the "Text to Speech" column, select the toggle icon to turn text-to-speech ON for the intended student.
The toggle will turn blue when text-to-speech is enabled.
To disable, click the toggle again, and it will turn gray, indicating that text-to-speech is turned OFF.
For an Entire Roster:
Go to the “Rosters” tab.
Click the blue button labeled “Turn on Text to Speech for this Roster.”
🔠 Adjust Text Size
All students can adjust the text size of both the phenomenon and questions during assessments to allow for a more accessible reading experience.
How to Adjust Text Size:
Click the two “T” icons at the bottom left of the assessment screen and select the desired text size: Small, Medium, Large, or Huge.
📌 This feature is enabled by default and does not need to be set individually!
🔍 Image Magnification
All students can magnify images in assessments to get a closer look.
How to Magnify Images:
Click on the image to view an enlarged version.
Exit the Magnified Image:
Click the image again or click anywhere in the black space around the image to close it.
⚠️ Note: Clicking the “X” in the top right corner of the image will exit the entire assessment.

🌐 Recommended Translator: Google Translate
Google Translate integrates with InnerOrbit's text on phenomena descriptions questions, and answer choices to translate content into any language.
There are two methods to use Google Translate on InnerOrbit:
1. Option 1: Built-In Google Translate for Webpages
This method translates the entire webpage, including phenomena descriptions, questions, and answer choices.
⚠️ Note: The built-in translator does not translate:

How to Enable Built-In Google Translate:
In the student’s Google Chrome browser, click the three dots in the top-right corner.
Select “Translate...” from the menu.
Click the three dots in the translation pop-up.
Select “Choose Another Language” and pick the desired language.
Refresh the page if the translation does not occur automatically.
2. Option 2: Google Chrome Extension
The Chrome Extension translates highlighted words or phrases within phenomena descriptions and answer choices.
⚠️ Note: The Chrome Extension does not translate:

How to Enable Pop-Up Translations:
Add the Google Chrome Translation Extension:
Install the extension if you don’t already have it from the Chrome Web Store.
Open Extension Settings:
Click the extension icon and select “Options.”
Customize Your Translation Settings:
Display Icon: Show an icon you can click to display translations for highlighted text.
Immediately Display Popup: Automatically display translations for highlighted text without needing to click.
